Friday Five
Friday before a long weekend, has me jumping up and down in my seat. Here are five of my favorite photos I’ve taken recently.
My tile installation supervisor, helping finish up the bathroom project. We finally got everything wrapped up a couple weekends ago and I’m so glad to be using the bathroom again.
We got cupcakes to celebrate a friend’s new job – gourmet cupcakes are always the way to go.
I helped water Sarah’s garden a couple weeks ago, and I couldn’t help but take a couple photos. I just love catching the natural growth and stages of veggie ripeness.
I recently did some more KonMari action in our house, and the result of my bookcase was pretty fantastic.
I can’t really go without two pictures of our sweet girl, she’s just Sunday snoozing in the prettiest light. I’m looking forward to all the naps this weekend.
La Jolla, CA
In June, my Grandma took all of our family on a trip to La Jolla, CA. It’s important to her for all of us to stay together, so we stayed in an amazing house right on the shore of the Pacific Ocean. We spent the week mostly relaxing by the pool or beach but also exploring La Jolla, San Diego, Coronado, and Pacific Beach. The highlights? Everyone gathered around the fire pit, tables big enough for 14 people, a heated pool, Byrd/Lime scooters, authentic tacos, giggling about sunglasses sunburns, the aquarium, and $4 million open houses.
Here are some iPhone snapshots:
Las Vegas Trip
At the end of May, Kevin and I took a last minute trip to Las Vegas. The highlights? Seeing the Grand Canyon from the plane, shopping and indoor gondola rides, cupcake ATMs, the Bellagio fountains, shows, mini palm trees, thumbs up for eSports arenas, delicious foods, and the splendor and lights of the Las Vegas strip. The best part? Getting away with Kevin and enjoying a new city.
Connect | July Goals
The 9th of July seems as good of a time as any to post my goals for the month. I sound like a broken record, but it’s hard to believe that this year is over halfway over already. As far as goals go, I feel really proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish and was happy to go back and refresh my goals from the beginning of the year. One of my favorite things about the Powersheets is doing the wheel of life method, where you rate how well areas in your life are going to help you create intentional and balanced goals. For the next 6 months, my goal is to really focus on my physical health.
