Here is my second installment of the Written Worship catch up. You can find the first post here.
The Tower of Babel
From She Reads Truth: The torch of faith was passed through the generations of Noah’s family, and that flame can be traced back to the spark: “And Noah did everything that the Lord commanded him” (Genesis 7:5). Obedience to God was the gift Noah gave to the next generation. When we obey God, we are storing away treasure for those who will come behind us.
Was reading She Reads Truth about Genesis. Loved this: “With nearly every page turn of Genesis – from fall to the Flood, from Babel to Sodom and Gomorrah – we will see God keep his promises and confirm his covenant with men and women along the way. When we dare to read this bold and beautiful book in it’s entirety, a foundational truth comes into view: God’s covenant with His people is ongoing, everlasting, and unbreakable, and it is forever fulfilled in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.”
Today God’s whispering to me…”You are incomparable. I’m calling you with a purpose – just trust me.”
Note to self.
2 Corinthians 12:9 – But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
This past weekend at The Crossing Dave spoke about Hebrews 12 running the race with our eyes fixed on Jesus but all the while preparing and expecting pain and hardship so that we can grow and learn to walk more closely to Him.
Thanks so much for reading!
