This week, I wanted to share some of the bible art journal pages that I have been working on. I have posted a few sneak peeks on instagram, but I am really excited because this involves so many things that I am passionate about. The reason why I decided to post these pages instead of the ones in the art journal is because today we were challenged to work around one word. Since I have a word of the year, rooted, I decided to kind of go off the goals that I had for that which included focusing more time on the Lord so that I could be “rooted” in Him.
Using an art journaling bible has been one of the things that has affected my faith the most this year and I definitely think that this goal is being fulfilled, although I know that I have plenty to learn and much more growth to do.
This specific verse came from the She Reads Truth study on Esther. This verse is a particular favorite. A few years ago my sweet mentor was telling me about how she was watching chickens one time and she noticed that if any kind of danger came around the parent would cover the babies up with their wings and protect it. They did that all day long just providing and protecting their babies – such a sweet reminder of the way that the Lord protects and provides for us. I thought about this story a lot when I was in between college and finding a job, expectantly waiting and praying while the Lord protected and provided for me financially.
