Welcome to September – where the weather starts changing, football starts taking up our weekends, and apparently a new challenge is coming to this blog. I’ve been writing here for a few years and as my numbers grow, so does my paralysis for posting real thoughts and feelings. I have felt like I have to post something ‘worthwhile’ for my readers and if you haven’t noticed, that has resulted in no posts at all. It’s not that I’m not writing, I have about 30 unpublished drafts saved to WordPress and another journal full of words, yet I am having a heck of a time pressing that button that will finalize it and make my life public.

So, for this month, I’ve decided to follow along with BraveLoveBlog in her “Blog-tember Challenge”. You can click on over and read it, but basically it’ll just be me posting on this blog every day. She has written out 30 prompts for 30 days, but I might switch some of them out for more personalized ones of my own or possibly some that I have already written. Either way, the point of this is for me. I won’t be sharing the links for most of these posts on facebook, but if you’d like to have them to come straight to your email on the daily, you can subscribe by typing your email in over there in the box on the right side. Otherwise, you can add my URL to your RSS feed/favorites or just check back as you please. I’m excited to prove to myself that I can do this.

If you’re still reading, thanks for sticking with me; here’s my introduction.

It probably goes without saying, but I’m Jacqueline and I (sometimes) write things on this little section of the internet. I live in the middle of Missouri with my husband Kevin, and our sweet pup, Chloe. I met Kevin in elemetry school, we started dating in high school and he proposed the day between our college graduations. Six months ago, after five and a half years of dating, we were married! I graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. I started out working at a job in my field but quickly learned it wasn’t for me and jumped into a completely different roll that I have found myself loving so much more.

To this date, I haven’t found a creative hobby that I can’t jump on board with. I currently have my hand in lots of fun projects including Project Life, One Little Word, Bible Journaling, mini books/art journals, photography, home decor realted things, and I also own a small online shop. I intend to post about all of those things here. I also enjoy reading, exerising, and going on chai dates.

In anticipation of writing this post, I’ve been trying to decide how I want to describe myself. I would say that I’m pretty easy going and honest, but I definitely don’t wear my heart on my sleeve. I think that’s why I love blogging so much – I feel like I’m not that great at expressing emotions and this has just been a good outlet for me to do that. From other people, I am most often told that I am sassy and an “old soul” but now that I read this paragraph all together, I just turn my head like Chloe does when someone knocks on the door but she can’t see them – SO CONFUSING. If you’re familiar with Myers Briggs, I’m an ESTJ.

I started blogging five years ago when I went away to college as a way to keep in touch with my family. At first, I wrote very matter of factly about the things I did each day and the grades that I was managing to keep in my classes. Eventually I started developing a style and I began posting about crafts and life lessons and things that God was teaching me. The reason why I’ve kept it up for this long is because every time I try to quit, God gives me a good reason why I shouldn’t. So here I am, typing away. It hasn’t always ever been perfect, but it’s my story and I’m happy to tell it.

If you’re also following along with this challenge, post a link below, I’d love to check out your blog or instagram!
