My Family | Because look at those faces. And it doesn’t stop at these two, I am so blessed by my entire family and Kevin’s. I’m thankful to have so many people in my life who love me and support me. It is my family that has made me the person that I am today.
Faith + Bible Journaling | Faith is very important to me and it has made such an impact on my life, especially over the last couple of years. Last year, I found out about Bible Journaling which incorporates two things I love – faith and creativity.
From Where I Stand Photos | I started doing “feet photos” a few years ago as a way to remind me to live in the moment. I’ve always been the type of person that is already worrying about tomorrow and this has helped me to take a deep breath and be thankful for the world around me. It started with just my feet and gradually Kevin started getting in on it. Now it’s our thing. We took so many when we were in Chicago. I’m hoping that we can get Chloe in on one pretty soon!
Coffee Shops | Even though I’m not a fan of coffee itself, I do love the time I have spent at fun cafes and coffee shops. I started drinking chai when it was introduced to me by my college friends, up until that point I was drinking Vanilla Bean Frappuccinos when I went to Starbucks! I have had some of my most memorable and sincere conversations with my friends over a good chai latte and now it’s a go to for being productive and meetings.
Journals | I feel like I’ve been writing in journals my whole life. I love the idea of getting things out of my head and onto the page. My current favorite (shown above) is the Traveler’s Notebook. The cool thing about this one is that the notebooks inside can be taken out and replaced with new ones. I currently have a “catch all”, my travel notebook from Chicago, an art journal, and my journal for church.
Plants | I fell in love with plants about the same time that I fell in love with photography. Plants made for an great, colorful subject and were so easy to shoot. I’ve had multiple types of plants: succulents, bamboo, Hyacinths, African Violets, and many kinds that go in vases.
Photography + Creativity | I’m pretty even brained. At work, I love getting to use my left brain to process and organize but of course I need to let that right brain loose and being creative allows me to do that. Like I said in my intro, I haven’t found a creative hobby that I can’t get on board with, but photography has definitely been around the longest.
Food | Because obviously. I mean, need I say more?
