Today’s prompt is to turn on your music player and share the first 10 songs that play. It’s interesting because when I first saw this prompt, I was a little worried. I listen to music so infrequently that I had no idea when I had last updated my playlists. I enjoy listening to it and singing along but I’m just the type of person that can be driving and get so lost in thought that I end up never turning the music on at all. When I go to the gym, on a walk or while I’m crafting I typically listen to podcasts over music. There is something about them that keeps me learning and gets me thinking, plus, I can’t sing along to them. Because let’s be honest, no one wants that. I use spotify to play music, so the songs are coming off of my starred playlist. Here are the first ten that came up when I put it on shuffle.
3AM – Matchbox Twenty | Hail the King – Citizens | My Girl – Dave Barnes | Hey Pretty Girl – Kip Moore
Little Balloon – Jenny + Tyler | Wagon Wheel – Darius Rucker | Warm Heart in a Cold World – Dave Barnes
Black Balloon – Goo Goo Dolls | Lord, I Need You – Chris Tomlin |Broken Hallelujah – The Afters
These songs are such an accurate mix and description of the music that I enjoy listening to. A little country, alternative, rock, worship, and pop. I’m so glad there was nothing embarrassing. Since I mentioned that podcasts are actually my go-to over music, I thought I’d fill you in on some of my favorites.
I typically listen to the podcasts as they come out, so I’m always looking to add more to my collection. Think you have a game changer? Leave it in the comments and I’ll check it out!
