As part of my journey with my word thrive, I wanted to slow down and take some photos of moments that matter. Just little reminders that I’m present and that I don’t have to spend every waking second running around at a break-neck pace.This past week, I decided to complete the practice in the morning, when I typically feel overwhelmed from over sleeping and underestimating the time it will take for my morning routine. I was looking forward to it, so I had no problem getting up a few minutes early to grab my camera and play around. I spent a lot of time on detail shots around the house, but I found that in just a few minutes I had started off my day with one of my favorite things, which made me really happy. After a week and an SD card full of photos, I decided I would share them here, once a week or so. Only a handful of photos will be worth sharing, so I’ll just put those in a diptych (two photos paired together like the one above) and we’ll be on our way.
